Work that starts with listening.

Lintern Care supports autistic adults, adults with a learning disability and adults living with enduring mental ill health, in their own homes across West Essex. The work is practical, accountable and close to people’s lives.

What the work is

  • Listen

    Start with what the person wants to do, how they communicate, and what a good day looks like for them.

  • Support decisions

    Help people make their own choices, including choices other people might not make. Presume capacity. Use the least restrictive option.

  • Build confidence

    The measure of good support is what a person can build, keep or do for themselves, not how much staff do for them.

  • Speak up

    If something is not right, say so. Safeguarding, dignity and honesty are part of the job, not extras.

Who the people are

Support is for adults aged 18 and over in Uttlesford, Epping Forest and Harlow. Teams work in local clusters so people see familiar staff.

What to expect when you apply

  1. Step 1

    Read the vacancy

    Check the role, location, working pattern and closing date before starting.

  2. Step 2

    Apply securely

    Use a one-time email link in the candidate portal. The short form asks for contact details, eligibility, recent work and three values questions. You can save a draft and return before the vacancy closes. Do not email a CV.

  3. Step 3

    We review consistently

    The recruitment team reviews submitted information against the role requirements. If you are shortlisted, we interview you.

  4. Step 4

    Checks after a conditional offer

    Two references, DBS and right-to-work evidence come after a conditional offer, not at application. We will not contact your current employer without permission.
